QUESTION: OK. I'm here, so what IS a guild? ANSWER: A guild is what you make it. The object of a guild is for the GUILD MASTER to supply a GUILD (usually a webpage or FTP site) for MEMBERS to share and exchange information and files of the related subject (in this case, a specific anime). GUILD MASTERS are encouraged to include MEMBERS in the construction and maintance of the guild. All gathered material MUST be available either for a period of time in the GUILD or upon request by the members. In the later example, a list of available resources need to be maintained in the GUILD. QUESTION: Why should we let you link to OUR guild from YOUR page? ANSWER: Being an owner of a guild myself, I'd like to maintain a working link to YOUR guild so visitors to MY GUILD can be aware that there ARE other guilds available to them. It would be a good idea for you to keep working links to other guilds as well. This is all about SHARING not "Mine is bigger than yours." So less help everyone out. But also realize that you can restrict some GUILD benefits to GUILD MEMBERS. What I'm trying to say, if I decide to maintain a total of 20 members, it's because I don't have the time to E-MAIL 100+ pictures from my personal archives to 100+ people around the world. So I reserve that right for the GUILD MEMBERS only. QUESTION: What do you need from me before I can start the guild? ANSWER: What I would suggest is a "banner" with the guild's name and crest on it. Also, supply a brief description if you think that would be necessary. I can also place an intro HTML/HTM instead, but I prefer the "banner" method. It's easier for visitors to navigate. QUESTION: Why should we fill out your stupid little Guild Application Form? ANSWER: It helps me to keep track of WHO is starting a GUILD and alert people in the "GUILD'S UNDER CONSTRUCTION" area, that you are working on a guild. Plus, if you register your guild with me, I'll feel obligated to help you in your plight. -William Night
